Photos x Words
Photos x Words is a number of things, but mainly it’s a blog and associated newsletter. Published on Substack, it allows you, my lovely reader, to subscribe to receive my blog posts directly into your email inbox each week. Or, you can read them straight off this website through the Substack app.
Why might you want to do that? Well, I’m hoping that my photography will interest you and that you might want to keep up with what I’m doing. I think of myself as a storytelling photographer with a strong interest in people, their beliefs and how they relate to those around them and to the planet.
Work
To explore these themes, I make self-directed documentary and art photography projects which, as opportunity permits, I publish and exhibit.
I have self-published photography zines on the subjects of lockdown in my local town and pilgrimage, and have recently self-published my first photobook, entitled Let The Wildness Be Left. I am currently working on a long term project about the North Norfolk Christian pilgrimage village of Walsingham.
I also intermittently publish editions of NotQuiteFree Press. These are one-off pieces of photojournalism published as newspaper style four page A4 pamphlets.
It’s important to me that photographs are printed and made available to viewers in a sustainable, accessible and physical form.
Me
Hi, I’m Keith. I’m married, a Christian, and care strongly about issues of social justice. I live in North Norfolk (UK) and have been making photographs professionally for over 15 years. It’s great to meet you.

It’s all free
All the content on Photos x Words is free and always will be free. I just want to share with you my thoughts, images and work, and I hope that you find it stimulating and that you will want to come back for more.
You can help top up my film fund if you would like to but there is absolutely nothing obligatory about it!
